Studentersamfundet show support for Palestine
At Samfundsmøtet on the 18 of November, the following proposed resolution was adopted by Storsalen:
This is a translation and will not be an exact representation of the resolution put forth by Storsalen: "Studentersamfundet i Trondhjem, gathered for a Samfundsmøte in Storsalen on 18 November 2023, condemns Israel's attack on Gaza, and calls this an ongoing genocide. By virtue of this decision, and to clearly show solidarity with the Palestinian people,
the Palestinian flag will be is clearly displayed on the cornice while the house is closed during the exam period.”
The proposal is put forward by Agnes Strandbu, Bertine Bøe, Isak Kvandal, Markus Woxholt, Olav Skogrand and Magnus Vold Rygge
The board will do its best to comply with this resolution and the Palestinian flag will be displayed on the cornice during the exam period in autumn 2023.
