Highasakite
Highasakite resleased the album “Camp Echo” in May to great reviews, and like that they followed up “Silent Treatment” in a great way. “Silent Treatment” managed 94 weeks in a row at Norway’s official album list (VG-lista).
Highasakite
In January, before the album release, the band released the single “Someone Who’ll Get It” to an equal great reception. And it wasn’t just at home in Norway people noticed the new material, the single premiered at BBC1 i UK and Triple J in Australia, amongst others. Since then the single has reached gold status and first place at the radio lists in Norway, and it also grew to become one of Triple J’s most played songs for a long period.
The single was followed up by the second single “Golden Ticket”, which also reached the A-listings on radio.
Recently Highasakite have completed a summer full of festivals, and have headline in Norway at Øyafestivalen, Bergensfest, Pstereo, Parken and Trollrock, at the same time as they’ve preformed at several big international festivals such as Roskuld, Hurricane, Glastonbury, Bråvalle and Latitude. Along side this they preformed at their own release concert at Village Underground in London.
It is also worth to notice that Highasakite has been announced as the first artist, and the Norwegian contribution, to this year’s Nobel concert.
Hanne Hukkelberg
We are very pleased to announce that Hanne Hukkelberg is warming up for Highasakite during their Norway tour this fall.
Hukkelberg is a bit of a secret artist. We’re talking about a quite distinctive indie-pop med lopsided strokes and chords we don’t here that often.
The rumour has it there’s a fifth album coming up over New Years. Maybe we’ll hear a few samples.
