Samfundsmøte: Refugees
The first month of 2016 has, in a similar fashion as all of 2015, been characterized by the migration and refugee crisis in the media. The debate has many strong opinions and will continue to influence the media through the year.

The refugee crisis has characterized the international news picture the past year and is a debate with many strong voices. Last year, in November, Indra de Soysa wrote a chronicle where he claimed that the crisis was exaggerated and that the flow of refugees had been the norm for a long time. This evening de Soysa will meet with the political scientist Krishna Chaitanya Vadlamannat to debate the refugee crisis and put it in a historical context.
In addition to de Soysa and Vadlamannat, Karim Essahli will be at the meeting. Essahli works with refugees in Trondheim and is also a representative for the party Rødt in Trondheim city council.
If you want to book a table, this can be done from thursday, 28.01.2016, at 12:00. To book a table send an email to styret-bordreservasjon@samfundet.no. There is space for people per table and a limited number of tables. Booking closes at 14:00 on saturday, 30.01.2016. This is an offer free of charge and is not necessary to get a seat during the meeting.
