Planetarium screening: Snøleoparden (2021)
Spectacular nature, amazing wildlife, and fascinating reflections on humanity's place in nature.
The Velvet Queen is a French documentary that follows nature photographer Vincent Munier and writer Sylvain Tesson in their quest to find the elusive snow leopard in the Tibetan wilderness. The project is both a gamble and a test of patience for the two as they wait for the snow leopard to reveal itself. Tibet’s landscape is breathtaking, and the film showcases a diverse array of wildlife, including wolves, blue sheep, wild yaks, foxes, hares, falcons, and vultures. Though the journey and surroundings are cold and desolate, they are also incredibly rich in nature and life. This setting provides an opportunity for deep reflections on society, humanity, and the profound questions of life.
