KingSkurkOne
KingSkurkOne is back with his first album in four years, and now he has a preview of the album at Samfundet!
This time in a different format than what we are used to hearing him in. 'Flood of lægs on our life situation' is a forty minute full of fresh and sporty bass-heavy songs, heavily inspired by British garage and two-step.
All the tracks are composed and produced by the duo Chingo (Tor Eyvind Jørgensen and Daniel Robstad), who have worked closely with club-oriented music for over six years. On the record you will find guests such as NMG colleague Lars Vaular and Oprofesjonal (Uteklubb). The track list on the album is based on the order in which the music has been made, which is especially visible in the lyrics, which reflect the major upheavals in Skurken's life in the last two years. It takes you on Skurken's late transition to adulthood, which, in contrast to his previous releases, is now also characterized by, among other things, the property market, a permanent relationship, a new car and a newborn child. You will hear a considerably more reflective Skurk than before, on more mature and advanced productions than ever.
KingSkurkOne has made his mark in Oslo, and then throughout Norway with his monster hit "Bængshot" in 2017. After this, he has continued to excel in the hip-hop scene, and at the Tøyen Holding gig in the Storsalen, the entire audience screamed that they are his brother. Now he is coming back to lift the Great Hall, once again!
Since his artist debut in 2015 with the EP “5 Cheese”, KingSkurkOne has been heard everywhere. He has released 2 albums, 2 EPs and a handful of features with artists such as UNDERGRUNN, Lars Vaular, Tøyen Holding, 612 and more. The list is long, and KingSkurkOne has achieved an established place in the Norwegian hip-hop scene. Great gigs, full houses, certified hits and playful bars. With the platinum-certified "Lil Homie" from 2018, and the critically acclaimed album "Raps, tags og traplægs", this will be nothing but completely raw.
