Agabas // Knaus 23:59
Deathjazz from Trondheim
The Trondheim band Agabas plays death jazz - an unforgiving fusion of jazz's most intense and
sporadic elements and the lead-heavy expression of the metal. The atypical sound is cemented by one
clarinet floating over the sea of riffs and blast beats - the result is quite unique. And even
if the music is undoubtedly experimental, nothing goes at the expense of the raw live energy. Here there is full milling and heels in the ceiling all the way. The band has since starting in 2016 among
other warmed up for Honningbarna and played at Norway's largest music industry festival,
by: Larm.
Agabas is inspired by bands like Meshuggah, Gojira, Kvelertak, Converge, The Dillinger
Escape Plan and Shining. They released their debut album ‘Voluspå’ in April 2021 with brilliant reviews and is now working on the sequel.
