Crash course in Classical Music
The Student Society Symphony Orchestra and the Cultural Section at Samfundet invite you to a Classical Crash Course. The course is intended for students of all kinds who need a refresher of their knowledge on Grieg, Tchaikovsky and Bernstein, and whom with a tight academic schedule, have the need to sit back and relax to some good classical music.
Central topics that will be addressed are:
Why did the Russian Tchaikovsky write a march about Slavic people?
Did Greig write any other Norwegian dances than the song the ice cream truck plays?
And who is really The Common Man?
Get ready for the rest of the term with this crash course in some of the highlights of classical music.
We welcome you to a Crash Course in Classical Music!
Events at the Student Society can be adapted for visitors with movement and hearing impairment. See here for more information.
