ISFiT: Havara
Havara is a hip-hop based project consisting of musicians Liam-Andreas Rønneberg and Jørgen Horpestad, also known as Lawo and Ingen.
The duo started in Sandnes in 2015. Their first official song, “Peas & Ideas”, was released on Spotify in August 2018, followed by “Pop a New Guinea” which was released just a month later. With their dark and psychedelic lyrics, beats with thunderous bass and sensational sound effects, the music may seem scary for many. Havara are heavily influenced by the local Sandnes dialect, and often form a passive, raging message in their songs. They don’t hesitate to sing about Norwegian taboo themes and acts that can be hard to understand if you’re not a stoner from Sandnes.
