ISFiT: ALL – A Physical Poem Of Protest

ALL investigates the protesting body, the human mass and its force through the repetitive action of walking and running in circles. The protest ritual consists of many people from different ages, different background and with different physical appearances.

The play was in part used in the protests “Queer-handling for Chechnya” and “Love-in”outside the Russian embassy and by the Soviet memorial at the Treptow Park in Berlin. “The score is epic because it is open enough to respond to any occasion and resonate with human struggle, protest and its poetry throughout time. ..The honor to walk or run on someone’s behalf was felt, and this score became part of the legacy of civil rights, although its intent was open in this context, in this moment it was in service and in reverence of those who could not walk or run, who were being persecuted for holding and being held” –Jeremy Wade about the score used in the play. ALL has also been played at internanional theatres and arenas such as Théâtre de la Ville, Déprogrammation La Manufacture Atlantique and Studiobühne Köln.
