ISFiT: Spruce Bark Beetle

Spruce Bark Beetle is a new quintet based in the jazz community in Trondheim.

Consisting of Aksel Rønning (tenorsax), Amund Storløkken Åse (vibraphone), Peder Overvik Stuberg (guitar), Håvard Aufles (synth) and Elias Tafjord (drums) the band plays fresh songs wrapped in an almost produced sound. The music is inspired by superheroes, space, and cartoons, as well as nature and the spruce bark beetle. All of these elements are conveyed in a naïve package, made with a wish of making people dance.
