Ravi Kumar - music with a big mouth. Has been described as the sound of M.I.A on acid, a young Missy Elliott and drunken Beastie Boys having a techno party in an abandoned factory. Others have described it simply as what the dark side of the internet sounds like.
Ravi Kumar is a duo with Sharon Kumaraswamy on vocal/rap stirring up a crowd with her catchy, rebellious lyrics, and producer Aske Knudsen next to her, mastering the sub-heavy baselines and dusty beats. The music brings the party with its danceable rhythms with references to brazilian and african worldmusic, spiced with some contagious sassy attitude, leaving no doubt as to who is in charge.
VJ ÓRÓ - This icelandic girls colorful visuals for Ravi Kumar shoots you deep into an existential crisis coma that takes you weeks of extensive therapy and introspection to get out of. Or just makes you want to dance a little bit harder.
