Norwegian hip hop's most promising man is playing in Klubben the 28th of April
27 year old Ivan Ave, originally from Vinje in Telemark, has been a strong voice in the hip hop underground, both in Norway and the wide world. After releasing the «Low Jams» EP aswell as other critically aclaimed projects with people like Fredfades, his own album debut «Helping Hands» has come to light.
Ivan Ave's peculiar tonality and jazz-inspired sound, combined with a strong passion for lyrics, flow, production and historical hip hop references, separates him from the sea of Norwegian rappers with a somewhat more pubertal expression. The collaboration with Los Angeles based producer Mndsgn has resulted in music that is recommended as much by the fans of hip hop's so called «golden age», as by fans of the more modern progressive hip hop.
His most recent single release, «Also» from 2017, is co-produced by Kaytranada og Kiefer.
