Sit is giving millions to Samfundet
On Monday 29/01/2024, Sit and Studentersamfundet signed an agreement which contributes to Sit givinga total of 75 million to Nybygg. The new extension of the building is scheduled to open in the autumn (15 August) and this money is very welcome to complete Samfundets plans for the new building. Of the 75 million, 45 of them come as a result of a decision from Velferdstinget. At Samfundet, we can thank the students in Gjøvik, Ålesund and Trondheim for this, and we hope that the new building will pay back with the opportunity for lots of new activities and events for both the city's and visiting students.
Lisbeth Glørstad Aspås (Managing Director of Sit) says the following -
Sit is a non-profit organization that works in the best interests of the students. The society is in many ways the heart of student volunteering, and an institution in Trondheim. We are very happy to be able to contribute to the realization of the new building at the Society
Sit has been involved in working towards achieving the dream of a new building from the very beginning and to thank for this lasting support, we will give the new concert stage in Nybygg (Blackbox) a name that can represent this good collaboration.
