Samfundet + SpareBank 1 = partners
The work on Nybygg is well under way, and we are happy to see the building on Fengselstomta rise. Soon the building will have walls, and before long we will be moving in. There are still some costs left to furnish the new building. Together with SpareBank 1 SMN, we are one step closer to a fully functional Nybygg where we can invite our members, students and the entire population of Trondheim! We will receive 1 million nok annually for the next two years, but have the option to extend the agreement for a further 2 years.
As part of this agreement, the parties must arrange "Næringsdriv" in the premises of Studentersamfundet. This is intended to be a meeting place/conference with the aim of promoting and developing Central Norway's technological, financial and human resources by connecting business, academia and students. Under "Næringsdriv", there will be extra emphasis on connecting students closer to Trondheim both during and after their studies. To achieve this, Studentersamfundet will be the natural meeting place.
