Graphic Designer at Layout
Have you ever wondered how it feels to meet up at a party and see something you've made on their wall? How it feels to be served an ad of your photoshop passion-project on Facebook? Maybe you've seen the Semester-posters out and about in the city, and wondered who made them? Or maybe you've been drawn to this site for the simple reason that you saw all the cool graphic advertising the admission?
Layout is the group at Samfundet responsible for all graphic design, with the exception of the student paper Under Dusken. From posters to t-shirts, wall paintings, buss stop advertisements, stickers, skarfs and cups - it's quite frankly easier to specify what we don't do. Even the honourable Samfundet-logo is our work, and it's also us which approve any materiale that otherwise gets posted on the House's channels.
By joining Layout you become a part of a small, tightly-knit family with a burning passion for graphic design and where each and every one has their own, unique style. You get an opportunity to both shape and evolve your creative skills, while gaining friends for life. You get an opportunity to work with print, photoshop, photography and more, while working directly with the managers of your favorite artists playing at Samfundet. There's hardly a cooler thing to volunteer as.
We seek you with an eye for composition, who is social and consequently willing to put in a high amount of effort in creating cool and interesting things. No prior knowledge is required, and we strongly urge everyone to apply regardless if you use pen and paper or keyboard and mouse.
As a functionary (funksjonær) role you're expected to work, on average, around 20 hours a week, and the binding period is 2 years. In reality much of the work is handled before semester starts, so that it in practice it becomes less.

Due to this position's considerable amount of communication with internal and external actors, some knowledge of Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is required. We do not accept pure English speakers.
