Rundhallen
Samfundet's meeting point
When you walk through Samfundet's main enterance you are met by Rundhallen. Here you will find the wardrobe, a bar and information about what is happening at Samfundet. Rundhallen is also an easy place to meet up if you get lost. It's also the calmest venue of Samfundet, which makes it a perfect place to meet your friends and kick off a memorable night at Samfundet. Underneath the great chandelier in the centre of the room Samfundet's foundation stone lies, placed there by Crown Prince Olav in 1927. From the glassplate covering the stone you can stand and listen to the unique acoustic. Rundhallen was the building project of UKA-07 and UKA-21, and was refurbished for these occasions.
Ryttergangen
There are many stairs from the hall, but straight ahead you'll find Ryttergangen (Rider's hallway), which is between Rundhallen and Daglighallen. The large and strange steps in the staircase makes it best suited for horses, hence the name. On the wall you can see pictures painted by Knut Knaus , who also decorated several places on Samfundet, including the concert venue Knaus.
