Bror Forsgren is associated with his previous acts The Lionheart Brothers and Jaga Jazzist, but this time he is on his own. Narcissus was released fall 2015 to wide acclaim. March 5th you can experience the masterful pop-wizard at Samfundet.

This has been a strong year for Norwegian dream-pop, and Narcissus continues the tradition.
“Waiting for that holy music”, sings Forsgren in a choirboy treble to a steadily rising melody, once his orchestra stops tuning up: the sumptuous backing of strings and harps has the religious miasma of a Baroque church; by the end of the song he is chorusing contrapuntally with himself.
Elsewhere there are mournful horns and whiny new-wave guitars.
The eleven minutes of “Tired Of The Sun” open in Nordic symphonic gloom and works up into a blur of crunchy guitar and slurred drumbeats. 5/6
