The final film of our semester tells the story of Mùi, a young servant girl in 1950s Saigon, as she navigates life with two different families. Through everyday events and intimate moments, she grows as a person and experiences both the beauty of nature and human relationships.
The film explores themes of class differences, inner peace, and self-discovery. With its calm pace and precise cinematography, it has gained worldwide recognition, including the Caméra d'Or at Cannes and an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film. It’s a sensual and reflective experience for those who appreciate artistic cinema.
