Bijou: Protected Men (2024)
A mysterious illness. A shift in power. A dangerous truth. Kick off Women’s Week with Protected Men — a radical, feminist film that challenges power structures and gender politics in a dystopian world, where one revelation could change everything.
"Protected Men" takes us to a dystopian Germany transformed by a mysterious illness affecting only men, leading to a dramatic power shift. With women in control of the government, the few remaining “protected men” are tasked with creating a vaccine. At the center of this turmoil is Chancellor Sarah Bedford, who will stop at nothing to maintain her grip on power. When scientist Anita Martinelli uncovers Sarah’s dangerous scheme, she faces an impossible choice: expose the truth and risk everything, or allow the regime’s iron grip to tighten further? As she prepares to act, a shocking revelation threatens to change everything.
