ISFiT presents: A CONVERSATION ABOUT RACISM at Sellanraa, Litteraturhuset i Trondheim
Lisa Esohel Knudsen is a 27 years old author and public debator. She debuted in 2022 with the book It is Personal. On Racism and Freedom of Speech, and has also published the pook Woke. Culture War, Cancelling and Identity Politics. Both books address the topic of racism, especially in today’s culture and political climate.
Therese Marie Ignacio Bjørnaas is an associate professor of religion, philosophy and ethics, and a researcher with a particular focus on preventing racism in early childhood. She is an active participant of the public debate and regularly contributes in papers and on radio broadcasts. In 2024, she was also awarded “Lecturer of the year” award by the students at the college she works at. Beyond academia, Therese has extensive experience in boxing, both as an athlete and as a coach in Norway and in the US, with a special commitment to women’s boxing and multicultural diversity in sports.
