What future awaits Gaza’s children and young people?
How will children and young people in Gaza survive—today and tomorrow?
What kind of everyday life and future await Gaza’s nearly one million children and young people who have survived the war?
What life awaits them when 93% of schools and universities in Gaza are completely or partially destroyed, and tens of thousands of families must live with the trauma of killed or missing relatives? How can humanitarian organizations contribute, and what role can Norway play?
We will be visited by Nora Ingdal, Director of International Programs at Save the Children Norway. She has 30 years of experience in aid and humanitarian work, as a journalist, editor, and author of the book MUR – A Divided Landscape in Israel and Palestine. She was the Country Director for Norwegian People's Aid in Palestine and lived in Gaza for four years. She has also worked on evaluations and studies for Norad, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the EU, and the UN for ten years. She holds a degree in political science with a specialization in Arabic from the universities of Oslo and London.
This lecture will be in norwegian
