Kim Reenskaug is a musician, composer and improviser working with electronic and electroacoustic music.
Kim Reenskaug is a musician, composer and improviser working with electronic and electroacoustic music. With his solo project (fka.Wow Sailor) he has released the album "Happy Fear" on Dugnad Rec, which features collaborations from Arve Henriksen and Synne Sanden. Blending ambient textures, noise, field recordings with various acoustic sound sources and traditional instruments, "Happy Fear" is an intricate tapestry of emotional experience, where fear and joy clash heads in the pursuit of self-understanding.
He is interested in the interplay and connection between various types of audio technology, and how it can describe our contemporary society and human condition. Combining elements like percussion and synthesis with tape equipment, dc motors, feedback and digital production his work takes multiple forms and genres, Collaborating with stage performer Corentin JPM Leven and with visual artist and filmmaker Hamid Waheed.
