Moyka x Hannah Storm // International Women's Day

Moyka and Hannah Storm will take over Storsalen on Women's Day, March 8, 2025! There's little these two can't do, and one thing Moyka and Hannah Storm do like no one else is to create a live show with room for both goosebumps and a dance floor!

MOYKA

As a producer and songwriter, Moyka has spent the past year writing and producing the pop club album “Movies, Cars & Heartbreak”. The album has received rave reviews both at home in Norway and abroad, and Moyka has been praised as “the future of Scandi pop”. This winter, we can expect different tones from the artist!

Monika Engeseth is originally from Hallingdal, but has been living in Bergen in recent years since she adopted her artist name. Here she has experimented with a sound of electronic pop, inspired by great emotions and contrasts. Her beautiful, melancholic lyrics are woven into a soundscape that balances on the border between the organic and the electronic universe. And at the center of it all is Moyka's clear and strong vocals.

Moyka's debut EP “Circles” was praised with a 6 in Bergens Tidende. The praise didn't stop there when she released the EP “Spaces” in the summer of 2020, where the follow-up was described as a “damn good collection of pop songs!”, while international media were full of enthusiasm.

On October 22, 2021, Moyka followed up with the long-awaited debut album “Revelations Of Love”, where the single “Illusion” was written about in American Billboard and listed as “10 Cool New Pop Songs To Get You Through The Week”.

On October 20, 2023, she released her second studio album, “Movies, Cars & Heartbreak”. The album received great critical acclaim at home and abroad. The album's first single, “Rear View”, was named one of the best songs of 2023 by trend observers Buzzfeed, while the song received an honorable mention in heavyweight Billboard.
The release led to sold-out concerts in Berlin and London, as well as a packed festival summer in Norway - it started at Bergenfest in the intimate Magic Mirrors, continued to the mountains with the likes of Vinjerock and Bergtatt, and ended at the main stage Sirkus during the Øya Festival.

On stage, she delivers an energetic live show to match the powerful music. Again and again she has convinced audiences and organizers as well as critics. From Vill Vill Vest and then Den Hemmelige Festen in Bergen in 2018, to the big festivals such as by:Larm, Bergenfest, and Øyafestivalen in 2019, and Vinjerock and Slottsfjell in 2024.

HANNAH STORM

25-year-old Hannah Storm grew up in a musical home in Oslo, and started writing her own songs at the age of seven. After singing in a choir for 13 years, as well as completing her education at the music school at Foss vgs, the jazz school at Toneheim Folkehøgskole and at LIMPI (Lillehammer Institute of Music Production and Industries), Hannah sent out some demos to various players in the music industry. When Bergen-based MADE Management (which was also Hannah's first choice) showed an interest, she made regular trips to the capital of western Norway to meet various musicians she could have sessions with. The Bergen collaboration bore fruit, and in March 2021 she packed her bags and moved to her new hometown.

The down-to-earth Oslo girl herself cites everything from The Beatles, Queen and Frank Sinatra to Susanne Sundfør, Amy Winehouse and Adele as sources of inspiration, which makes sense whether you're listening to her debut single Stranger or her latest single The Room. There is something timeless and immediate about Hannah Storm's compositions and performance, and it's almost impossible not to be moved by her music whether your musical preference is grand pop, melodic indie rock or old 60s/70s classics. Hannah Storm isn't afraid to paint on the biggest melodic canvas with both an organic and heartfelt brush, and it's rare for an artist at the start of her career to deliver music that sounds this big. Those lucky enough to have experienced her goosebump-inducing live performances will probably agree. Or as Dagsavisen wrote after her concert at By:Larm: 'She has a magnificent voice that goes well with what can be called luxury pop. A genre that is not often mentioned, but must be included in the Spellemannprisen when Hannah Storm has broken through.

A lot has happened since the legendary By:Larm concert, and among the many highlights are appearances on NRK's Lindmo, collaborations with the electronic duo Lemaitre, warm-up gigs with AURORA at venues such as Sentrum Scene and in front of 16,000 people in Mexico City, and her own concerts in London, Bogota and at Mexico's biggest festival - Corona Capital.
Now the long-awaited debut album is being prepared, but Hannah has also found time in her calendar to warm up for The September When on their upcoming reunion tour in Norway.
We look forward to the continuation!
