ISFiT: SPORTY PONNI ON TOUR
“SPORTY PONNI ON TOUR” tells the story of a woman who escapes to the woods to party and live alone. Thematically, detachment from society’s expectations is explored: What does a woman, who is free from social relationships, housework, fear and money do?

The concert is based on interdisciplinary collaborations and is an improvised hybrid of long poems, music and dance. Singing, piano, growling and animal sounds are combined with Ada Risberg’s recordings from nature and atmospheric soundscapes. The auditive language is visualized by contemporary dancers who will also show line dance. In the darkness of the forest, Barstad Solvang’s alter ego “Sporty Ponni» steps out of the sides and into the room.
“SPORTY PONNI ON TOUR” is a concert based on Barstad Solvang’s latest book release “Sporty ponni” (Colorama, Berlin, 2022). The performers are Ane Barstad Solvang (text, production), Ada Risberg (music, composition), Stine Steen Thorkildsen (contemporary dance) and Ranje Hoem (contemporary dance). The book will be for sale during the event.
