ISFiT presents: Juell // KNAUS 23:59
A background from rock bands, fascination with Nordic pop and exploration of production through a bachelor's degree in music technology has led up to the concept Juell.
On March 4, Juell released her debut EP, It might be about time, a self-produced EP with distinctive features in every stage. The musical expression ranges from raw and explosive blues with guitar in focus, to melancholic and catchy pop. The sources of inspiration vary from Emilie Nicolas and Susanne Sundfør to Motorpsycho.
The first song was recommended by P3 Urørt, and the album became the album of the week at NPS Music, who writes, among other things, "Innovative Juell is a new and exciting artist with a strong and poignant vocal that has created its very own universe. Her songs both captivate and fascinate, and it will be interesting to follow her further."
The live band consists of Vibeke Juell Bugge (vocals and guitar), Oskar Myrseth (guitar), Johannes Rønning (synth), Bjørn André Syverinsen (drums) and Eskil Elias Foyn Bruntvedt (bass/synth bass)
