ISFiT: Eternal Immigrant? Growing up between Cultures

How do cultural differences affect life after migration? Can you really inherit migration?

“Eternal immigrant?” will be an honest conversation between young, female writers who have tackled the theme. The evening will be lead by journalist and documentary creator Anne Dorte Lunås.

Nancy Herz has been a familiar face in Norwegian media since she in 2016 contributed to the creation of the movement we know as “the Shameless Girls”. This evening she will talk about her book Skamløs, which received great recognition for its honest and brave story about social control and restrictive gender roles in minority communities.

Athena Farrokhzad is one of the most renowned modern Swedish poets, and she made an impression on the Swedish literary environment with her poetry collection "White blight" in 2013.The book received wonderful reviews, and Athena has received several awards for her work.

This event is financially supported by the Institute of Language and Literature at NTNU.
