ISFiT presents: Symposium
Symposium for the first report by the research team of ISFiT 2017: “Forms of Discrimination of LGBT people in Uganda, Ghana, Russia and Norway”.
On February 12th, the research team of ISFiT 2017 will hold a symposium and present the first of our two reports about forms discrimination of LGBT people in Uganda, Ghana, Russia and Norway. This first report is based on a review of secondary material we conducted during the fall of 2016.
We have investigated the social, historical and political context of the discrimination of LGBT people and practices, trying to determine the role of various actors, institutions and other agents in the emergence and persistence of these discriminatory practices. By this, we also highlight and discuss the consequences these forms of discrimination have for the victims of such practices.
