Lyche is the most diverse venue of Samfundet, with its own entrance at ground level as well as being a part of the House. At Lyche we serve the hungry students in Trondheim and famous guests and artists at Samfundet. We serve a menu like a professional restaurant, with a wide selection of beer, wine and cocktails. As a barkeeper and waiter (barwaiter) in Lyche, you’ll get the chance to learn all aspects of running a restaurant and a bar. There are no prerequisites needed, as we have courses every semester for all skills needed; cocktail course, beer course, wine course, serving course and so on. Here you have the opportunity to absorb new knowledge!

The restaurant is open every day of the week and turns into a liquor bar at night in the weekends. With four shifts a month, the volunteer position is very flexible, as you can work any day of the week that fits your schedule.

As a barwaiter you'll become a part of a group who does a lot of social things together, other than working the shifts in the restaurant/bar. It can be anything from dinners together, cabin trip, movie nights or playing in a band. Here you'll have the opportunity to get more friends, memories and experiences you won't forget!

You have to be 20 years old to join as a barwaiter, as we serve spirits and have a 20 year age limit late in the weekends.
