Are you interested in technical things? Do you like to play around with electronics, physics and a bit of data? Have you ever heard about amateur radio, either through Hancock's Half Hour or by personal interest, and wish to explore what this hobby has to offer? If your answer to any of these are "Yes!", then you may fit right in as radiot!
As radiot, you will be a part of Akademisk Radioklubb. Founded in 1923, we are one of the oldest amateur radio clubs in Norway. We do amateur radio, a hobby where you can experiment and use radio to communicate with people from around the whole world. We also sometimes participate in competitions, where we try to get as many connections within a given timeframe. The club has several radio stations, which cover the most popular bands we are allowed to use. This includes for sending via the ionosphere, via satelites, and even via the moon! We also got a well equipped workshop where you can tinker with and test radio-related projects. Otherwise, we also help with misc. work related to running the Student-Society.
