Argan is a rich, grumpy, and miserly man. His entire life revolves around his health and the many dangerous illnesses he believes he has. That’s why he desperately wants his daughter to marry the pompous son of a doctor—so he can have direct access to medical care. His daughter, however, is deeply in love with someone else. Meanwhile, Argan’s wife is playing a double game, scheming to swindle him out of all his money.
