Sunday Concert: Signe Dø + Thea Grant!

Come and escape into a dream at the Sunday Concert with Signe Dø and Thea Grant!

Signe Dø

Signe Dø released her debut album Gi Meg Månen on February 9th on Koke Plate (Jouska, Ea Othilde). The album received a 6/6 review from GAFFA and garnered praise from outlets such as Dagsavisen, Subjekt, VG, and Natt&Dag. Following this, she performed at venues like Hærverk, Landmark, Oslo Pride, Øyafestivalen, and finally by
, where Danish Soundvenue named her one of the "Top Five Talents" at the festival.

"A melodic dive into an art-pop universe that requires both courage and defiance to master." - Dagsavisen

"If you're taking home one indie-electronica album this week, it should be hers. It sounds gigantic. She sounds like three times the number of musicians in KORK." - Big Dipper

Dø explores and challenges the boundary between pop and art music, combining emotional vocal melodies, atmospheric stretches, and noisy electronic elements, processed clarinet, and field recordings. With clear nods to Susanne Sundfør, Portishead, and FKA Twigs, she creates a dreamy soundscape that feels both intimate and grand at the same time.

On stage, she is joined by Live Schau (von August) on cello.

Thea Grant

The 26-year-old Norwegian-British vocalist and composer Thea Grant recently launched her solo project with the release of the album Water and Dreams—an enchanting choral work that intertwines a myriad of voices, distorted into fierce noise, nocturnal ambient landscapes, and foggy pop ballads. Malibu, Ligeti, Björk, and Tim Hecker have been key inspirations for her music, combined with her fascination with lighthouses, church bells, caves, and the spaces between.

Tobias Gulbrandsen and Bjørn Ola Opsahl contribute to a complete concert experience with live visuals and surround sound. The sea becomes a symbol of life's fractured reflections, with the voice as the mediator, alone and in harmony.
